Anodos Card is part of Anodos Neobank, a financial app being built around the XRP Ledger and the company's self-custodial wallet. Rather than operating as a standalone prepaid card, it is intended to sit alongside onchain assets, virtual accounts, transfers and other financial services inside the same account.
The underlying Anodos Wallet is self-custodial and uses passkeys and MPC infrastructure. Anodos states that it does not hold users' private keys or custody their assets. Card and banking-like services are handled separately through licensed partners, so regulatory checks and card-specific rules still apply even though the wallet layer remains self-custodial.
Current availability
Anodos introduced its Visa Signature card in 2026 and is currently onboarding users through a private beta. The first card is advertised as free for eligible users who complete verification.
The broader Anodos Neobank has not yet reached unrestricted public availability. In its September 2026 update, the company said the full launch with virtual accounts, Visa cards and the complete neobank layer was still planned for the following months.
This means card access currently depends on beta eligibility and jurisdiction rather than simply downloading the app.
Fees and account tiers
Published Anodos card terms describe three account tiers: a free base plan, Pro at $9.99 per month and Elite at $29.99 per month.
The main difference between the tiers is in transaction pricing and limits. Non-USD card transactions are listed with a 1.5% FX fee on the free tier, 1.25% on Pro and 1% on Elite.
ATM withdrawals are also supported under the published card terms, although fees and limits depend on the selected plan. The base pricing lists an ATM charge of $1 plus 1.75%.
Anodos does not currently position cashback as a core card feature. The paid tiers are primarily structured around lower transaction costs and higher usage limits rather than a fixed crypto-reward rate.
Credit structure
The published U.S. card terms describe Anodos Card as a 0% APR credit product rather than a conventional debit card.
Balances are due after the billing cycle rather than accruing standard purchase interest. A 2% late-payment fee can apply to an outstanding balance if payment is not made according to the card terms.
This structure is worth distinguishing from the self-custodial wallet itself. The user's onchain assets remain under their control at the wallet layer, while the Visa card relies on licensed financial infrastructure and separate credit and settlement rules.
Verification and regions
Card applicants are subject to KYC and eligibility checks performed under the requirements of Anodos' financial partners.
Availability is jurisdiction-dependent. Anodos maintains restrictions for sanctioned and unsupported markets, so card access should be confirmed during onboarding rather than inferred from the availability of Anodos Wallet or ANODEX.
