Solayer Card, now branded as Solayer Pay Card and formerly known as Emerald Card, is a crypto payment card developed by Solayer. It allows users to spend USDC at Visa-accepting merchants without manually selling cryptocurrency through an exchange.
Users connect a crypto wallet to the Solayer platform and fund a separate card spending balance with USDC. Card transactions are processed through the Visa network, while Solayer integrates the payment experience with its blockchain-based infrastructure.
The card originally launched in April 2025 as a virtual product. Physical cards became available in May 2026, adding in-store payments and ATM withdrawals in supported regions.
Rewards and additional benefits
Solayer uses Emerald Points to reward eligible spending. Users can participate in partner campaigns, accumulate points and qualify for ecosystem rewards, including token distributions and exclusive benefits.
The company previously offered promotional cashback of 1% on eligible spending and 10% on first purchases. Those promotions ended in August 2025, and a permanent cashback rate has not been confirmed.
Cardholders also receive access to Solayer Travel, a hotel booking platform advertising discounts of up to 60% at more than one million properties worldwide.
Solayer's ecosystem additionally offers yield-bearing products such as sUSD. These are separate from the card's USDC spending balance and are not equivalent to earning interest automatically on card funds.
Fees and availability
Solayer's published card documentation lists a $20 annual membership fee, a 1% top-up fee and a $0.15 charge for USD purchases. International payments incur additional conversion fees. However, some official materials list different rates, so users should verify the applicable charges before activation.
Physical card issuance is free for existing users, while shipping charges may apply. ATM withdrawals are available with physical cards, subject to transaction limits and operator fees.
The card is available in selected countries, with identity verification required for all applicants. The restricted jurisdictions include Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Ukraine and most European Union countries. Several U.S. states are also excluded.
