Bipa Card is the payment card of Bipa, a Brazilian digital account focused on Bitcoin, USDT and Pix. The current product is built mainly around a secured credit model: users can allocate BTC, USDT or Brazilian reais as collateral and receive a card limit without selling those assets.
The card is issued by Stark Bank on the Mastercard network and is available in virtual and physical formats. Depending on the active Bipa plan, users receive Gold, Platinum or Black tiers with different cashback, collateral limits and Mastercard benefits.
The underlying Bipa account is custodial. Bitcoin, USDT and other supported crypto assets are held by Bipa or its custody providers rather than in a wallet controlled by the user's own private keys.
Collateral and credit limit
Bipa accepts BRL, USDT and BTC as card collateral. The amount converted into available credit depends on the asset: BRL currently provides 100% of its value as limit, USDT 80% and Bitcoin 50%.
The maximum amount that can be allocated as crypto collateral also depends on the plan. Free and Plus support up to R$50,000, Pro up to R$200,000 and Max up to R$300,000.
Collateral remains allocated to the card while it is supporting outstanding credit. Users can withdraw it when sufficient unused limit remains. BRL held as card collateral can also earn a CDI-linked reward that Bipa converts and pays in Bitcoin.
Plans and Satsback
Bipa currently has four plans. Free has no monthly fee and includes a Gold card without standard Satsback. Plus costs R$14.90 per month and pays 0.5% Satsback. Pro costs R$49.90 and increases the rate to 1%, while Max costs R$1,198.80 per year and offers a Black card with 1.5% Satsback.
Rewards are paid in Bitcoin rather than fiat or platform points. Eligible spending on the paid plans includes regular purchases, subscriptions, international transactions and installment payments.
Bipa also reduces or waives paid-plan fees based on monthly card spending and BTC/USDT trading volume. For example, Plus becomes free from R$1,500 of qualifying monthly activity, Pro from R$5,000 and Max from R$10,000.
Physical card and availability
The virtual card is available through the Bipa app. Physical-card pricing depends on the active plan: current plan terms provide free physical cards for Pro and Max, while issuance and delivery fees can apply to Free and Plus.
Bipa Card can be used at Mastercard merchants and can also be added to supported mobile wallets including Apple Pay and Google Pay. The exact card tier and associated Mastercard benefits depend on the Bipa subscription plan.
The product is restricted to Brazilian tax residents. Opening a Bipa account requires KYC, a valid CPF and identity verification, and users must be at least 18 years old.
